Built on a long history of championship motorsport, the Subaru WRX delivers engaging performance with daily driving practicality. It boasts sharp handling dynamics, a punchy turbocharged Subaru BOXER® engine, and the surefooted grip of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. It's also roomy, accommodating, and nicely equipped with many desirable amenities. Rally-bred sport compacts might be somewhat of a rare breed these days, but the WRX keeps the flame burning for new and veteran enthusiasts alike.

The Subaru WRX received a full redesign, complete with a new platform, distinctive styling, and more horsepower. Now, Subaru is preparing to take the WRX's excitement to the next level. Arriving early next year, the 2024 Subaru WRX introduces several compelling model enhancements, including the new range-topping WRX TR. This performance-focused trim level elevates the WRX's track-ready character with handling improvements, interior upgrades, and unique styling cues. Full details are expected closer to the 2024 WRX's official release, but here's a quick look at what we know so far.

All-New 2024 Subaru WRX TR

An enthusiast-focused TR trim returns to the WRX lineup for the 2024 model year. In previous models, TR stood for "tuner ready," a stripped-down variant ready to be modified. The current generation is still a prime tuning platform; however, Subaru has included many track-ready features direct from the factory.

A new Brembo braking system includes bigger pads and rotors, a larger brake master cylinder, and red-painted 6-piston front and 2-piston rear calipers for excellent stopping power, increased fade resistance, and improved pedal feel.

Stiffer springs, revised damping, and a re-tuned steering rack help provide precise handling and body control and better steering response without sacrificing ride quality. The 2024 Subaru WRX TR also comes standard with unique 19-inch, satin gray multi-spoke wheels wrapped in high-performance Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires (245/35 R19) for better traction on various surfaces and improved braking performance.

The WRX TR's ultra-sporty character continues into the cabin with standard Recaro® sport seats with black and gray Ultrasuede® upholstery.
